Levon Is 50% Off!

Babies can get expensive. Especially if you're like me, and you have compulsions to buy adorable clothes for your baby who will probably only wear that article of clothing two or three times. The clothes I buy are definitely NOT expensive, but they're also not from the Babies R Us clearance rack. I love good quality, cute clothes.... which basically means Baby Gap, Hannah Anderson, and my new favorite, Zara Baby.

Zara Baby

I want to make it clear that I do not spend TONS of money on clothes for Levon. We have been lucky enough to have a lot of people give us hand me downs. I am just saying that babies can get expensive in general with all the organic this and that, diapers, formula, etc. We are not wealthy by any means and we are also not poor by any means. However, I do work two jobs not because I want to, but because I like having that extra security. And sometimes there isn't even that "extra security" but I will go ahead and buy Levon some cute stuff... because in my mind he needs it. In reality he doesn't need it at all. I think in my head, I just like seeing him in new outfits.

I recently discovered that Levon looks really good in sleeveless shirts! He has amazing shoulder definition! (Is that ridiculous to say?) So I've been on a mission to find cute sleeveless shirts (not onesies), and I found myself being disappointed in the selection at a few different stores. I did end up buying some stuff but I felt guilty because the stuff I bought wasn't exactly what I was looking for.

Today, to make up for my guilt, I came up with a brilliant idea to "re-do" some of his old clothes. A few nights ago I was in a creative mood, so I upcycled a few of my old band t-shirts. The result: so cute! It felt like I had a new piece of clothing in my wardrobe! Which can only mean that I basically paid only 50% because I got two shirts for the price of one!

Same idea goes for Levon! Because I'm reusing his old clothes, I'm basically saving 50% on him!

I have a bag of clothes that either no longer fit Levon or are too winterish. I grabbed a few long sleeve onesies and a few footed pajamas. Tonight was the beginning of Project Sleeves...

So... yeah. It's nothing special but it's a fun project! I am going to make some shorts now because I love showing off Levon's thigh rolls :-D

And after that is Project Bandana Bib because they are just awesome on any baby!
