Asians are Funny

One of my favorite comedians is Steve Byrne... mostly because he's half asian, but also because he is funny.

Luke gets free tickets to the Gotham Comedy Club once a year and this year, he got tickets to see Steve Byrne and the other actors on Sullivan and Son. The funniest was definitely the humongous white guy, Owen Benjamin. And the MC was hilarious too but I forgot his name.

Before the show, we planned to get doughnuts at Doughnut Plant because last year we did just that and I LOVED the doughnuts. I also wanted to get dinner because I was in starvation mode.

First we went to the nearest, most interesting-looking place to get dinner. We decided on Wrapido. It said "Falafels" so I was down. But it was definitely more than just falafels! The wraps are made there on this crepe maker like machine. The wraps come out ultra thin so it was perfect. They make each wrap to order so your order could take a while, which ours did. It's a create your own wrap/sandwich kinda place...

But it was freaken' delicious! They gave us both a falafel to try before ordering. It was super crunchy with lots of flavor! I was sold. I got a falafel wrap with the Chipotle Mayo.

So because we were running late with dinner, we decided we would just go straight to Gotham. But Gotham was running late with the previous show so they told us we would be waiting another 15 minutes before we were seated. So we decided even though it was like 10:05, we would see if Doughnut Plant was still open. There were people still in there but the door was locked!

It was too much of a tease for me so I kept knocking on the door and gave them a desperate, "I NEED DOUGHNUTS!" face. After a few minutes of the employees huddling to come up with a plan on how to deal with me, one girl came to the door with a brown bag filled with doughnuts! It was free too! They are now in my super delicious AND super nice food establishment list!
